Hire Rates

Our standard hire rate is $25 which includes most character costumes with all accessories like petticoats, hats and belts.

Wigs and footwear are not generally not included in the hire fee.

Wigs are $10 extra with a costume or $15 without). Boots and shoes are $10 with a costume or $20 without.

Hire rates range between $40 - $80 with a very basic costume at $40 or an Elite or super deluxe costume at $70 to $80.

We don't charge anymore then $80 to hire a complete costume which includes wigs and footwear

Returns and Late Fees

A $10 late fee applies per business day applies per costume(excluding the days when we are closed).

All late returns will be sent a REMINDER SMS or a telephone call.

If you do not respond / answer your phone or fail to notify us within 3 days from the due date, your bond will be charged in full.

Bonds and ID

To hire you will need to have an acceptable form of identification. We prefer a current drivers license.

The security bond for any costume hire ranges from $25 up to $250 which is either cash or Visa / MasterCard credit card or Visa / MasterCard debit card number (not an old fashioned eftpos card e.g maestro).

For most costumes we store the card number temporarily until the costume is returned. When the costume is returned the details are destroyed. Some costumes will require the bond to be paid upfront at time of hire, in this case the bond will then be refunded in the form it was paid once the costumes are returned in good order

Payment Methods

You can pay for your costume hire in any of three ways: by either cash, EFTPOS or a credit card.

The security bond can only be left with us as: credit card deposit or cash. We don't accept AMEX for payment.

Terms and Conditions

Booking Fees

A $10 Booking Fee is applicable when booking a costume which is non-refundable but we will allow transfer of your booking fee to another costume for the same date.

Costumes held longer then the coming weekend will be required to pay a $10 booking fee.

Cleaning Charges

Small stains and little mishaps do happen. These accidents are covered by our standard cleaning which is covered in the hire fee but if you return a costume which management determines needs extra cleaning, a cleaning fee will be deducted from the bond to cover these costs. For example if the costume is really dirty, with rips and tears, grass stains, drink stains and cigarette burns, you will be expected to pay for the damages and loss of quality to our costume(s).

All costumes remain the property of The Costume Party Shop and cannot be 'bought out'.

Lost items

Returned costumes with parts missing will be charged a replacement cost to recover the lost item(s).

Damaged Costumes

Returned costumes with damage or excessive soiling that affects the quality, alters the appearance or causes loss of value to the costume. Will result in the full bond amount being charged for the replacement cost of the costume. This is subject to managements discretion
